TERIBEAR moved the world, raising 10 million crowns

The sixth year of the event Get Moving with TERIBEAR or Fun Movement with a Bear Powered by ŠKODA AUTO is over. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it had a completely different form, the participants of the happening could not meet in one place. Thanks to the mobile application, a virtual community was created and people could join anywhere and anytime. The event's partners changed each completed kilometre into 10 crowns of targeted help. In total, in the 24 days that the event lasted, 23,116 participants raised 10,000,000 crowns! The proceeds will help, for example, children from children's care facilities, mothers from shelter homes or families in need. The charity happening was organized for the sixth time by the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children.

"This year was completely different from previous years. We are very happy that we decided to adopt the virtual form because the situation did not allow it otherwise. We have learned from the reactions that people appreciated it and did not hesitate to support TERIBEAR even from a distance. I believe that next year we will all meet again in one place. Many thanks to everyone who collected miles with running, walking in the woods or on the way to work to help children. We appreciate every step," says the patron of the event, Tereza Maxová.

Eva Vaidová, who participates in a sports-charity event every year, completed the highest number of kilometers, 1,440 km, and the second Jan Čížek helped by attrobuting 1,366 kilometers. In the children's category under 15, Frederika Sekowská led the table with 583 kilometers. Corporate and family teams were also able to participate this year. Accenture's corporate team, which has traditionally occupied the top positions, has added 26,255 kilometers of help. From the final leaderboard, it is clear that the virtual happening was again supported by those who regularly participated in previous years of the event. However, not only them. This year, the event took place in all regions of the Czech Republic, and people from 38 countries of the world also enthusiastically took part in helping TERIBEAR!
