The fifth year of the ten-day happening TERIBEAR moves Prague or Fun Day with the Bear, is over. This year, the event broke all records, both in the number of participants, kilometres completed and the amount raised.
In ten days, 20,736 people registered for the event and completed more than 407,000 kilometres. Our partners turned every kilometre to 30 CZK. This meant incredible proceeds of CZK 12,215,880, which will help children from orphanages, mothers from shelters, abused children or families in need. There were a total of ten areas of foundation agenda, and every participant could choose the area his or her proceeds would go to.
"I wouldn't have dared dream that in five years we will be able to excite so many people to find the time and desire to help others. We moved Prague and changed many lives for the better. Many things polarize the society today but we are thrilled that we were able to bring so many people together for a good cause," says Tereza Maxová, the foundation founder.
